Deaf UK 50+ 20th Anniversary Celebration Weekend
Edinburgh
24 – 25 November 2023

We celebrated our 20th Anniversary with a fun-packed weekend in Edinburgh.

The visit of Deaf UK 50+ to Edinburgh marked a momentous occasion, spanning two days of inspiring experiences and celebratory milestones.

 Event Highlights

Day 1:

A lively Quiz Night unfolded at Deaf Action’s Blackwood bar, setting the tone for an engaging weekend ahead.

Day 2:

The day commenced with an immersive tour of the historic Palace of Holyrood House, where members explored into the city’s rich heritage. Following this, the group embarked on the Deaf Edinburgh Heritage Trail, exploring the cultural tapestry of the city.

As dusk fell, jubilation filled the air as the 20th Anniversary of Deaf UK 50+ was joyously celebrated.

Day 3:

The final day commenced with an insightful tour of Edinburgh Castle, guided movingly by John Hay, our esteemed BSL guide.
